چکیده

This work presents an acoustic field simulation method derived from the Green’s functions based monochromatic solutions of the wave equation in homogeneous media. Following this approach, for a given emitting aperture and for an arbitrary set of target points, it is possible to define a spatial monochromatic transfer matrix (MTM). The amplitude and phase of the acoustic field at the target points are computed by multiplying this matrix by the excitation vector formed by a spatial sampling of the acoustic field on the aperture. Interfaces are considered as secondary sources from which the incident wave is re-emitted. This way, it is possible modelling reflection, transmission and changes of vibration modes at interfaces.

Numerical Prediction of Stator Diameter Effect on the Output Torque of Ultrasonic Traveling-wave Motor, using Finite Elements Simulation

Nowadays, piezoelectric materials have wide applications in various industries. Therefore, investigation of these materials and their applications has a special importance. In this paper first, the natural frequencies of a traveling-wave piezoelectric motor are achieved, using finite elements simulations. Then, applying an alternative electrical voltage to the piezoelectric ring, a traveling wa...

Ultrasonic modulation of multiply scattered coherent light: an analytical model for anisotropically scattering media.

In this work, we have calculated analytically the temporal autocorrelation function of the electrical field component of multiply scattered coherent light transmitted through an anisotropically scattering media irradiated with a plane ultrasonic wave. The accuracy of the analytical solution is verified with an independent Monte Carlo simulation for different values of the ultrasonic and optical...

The ultrasonic field in lossy media: some simulation and experimental results

The subject of the paper is simulation and measurements of an ultrasonic field in an isotropic homogeneous medium with attenuation. The complex problem of simultaneous influence of wave diffraction, attenuation, and velocity dispersion occurs. Only few publications can be mentioned on this subject. For example in [1] is presented an investigation of the complex problem of ultrasound field distr...

Rheological Response and Validity of Viscoelastic Model Through Propagation of Harmonic Wave in Non-Homogeneous Viscoelastic Rods

This study is concerned to check the validity and applicability of a five parameter viscoelastic model for harmonic wave propagating in the non-homogeneous viscoelastic rods of varying density. The constitutive relation for five parameter model is first developed and validity of these relations is checked. The non-homogeneous viscoelastic rods are assumed to be initially unstressed and at rest....

AN APPROACH TOWARDS WAVE CLIMATE STUDY IN THE PERSIAN GULF AND THE GULF OF OMAN: SIMULATION AND VALIDATION

This article describes the 11-year wave simulation (1992-2002) in the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman using the input data derived from European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). The ECMWF 10 meter wind field and spectral wave boundary condition at 18 ْN degree are input into one of the latest versions of numerical wave models (3rd generation) after a few local modifications. ...
